The flavor of vanilla always improves cookies, cakes, or tarts, and can even lend an
alluring flavor to bread. This sugar is also delicious stirred into plain yogurt,
sprinkled on buttered toast, and for dipping strawberries
Ingredients
8 cups white or raw brown sugar
2 Vanilla Beans
Method
Place the sugar in a jar that be sealed airtight. Push the vanilla beans right down into
the sugar. Close the jar and forget about it for a week, then proceed to use the
sugar.
Replace the sugar as you use it, stirring it in the jar. The vanilla beans will continue
to add their flavor for up to 3 months.
