Ingredients
2 large white onions
1 stick butter, melted
coarse salt
freshly ground black pepper
Method
Preheat oven to 350
Use a large sharp knife and slice the onions into thick rings. Coat the onions with
the melted butter [TIP: Throw them in the pan in which you melted the butter
making sure they are nicely coated]. Transfer the onions to a cookie sheet lined
with aluminum foil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Roast the onion rings for about 20 to 25 minutes or until soft and they begin to
caramelize. Serve hot.
Delicious as an accompaniment to chicken, steak, or pork.
