Raspberry Lemonade
Superfine sugar can be found in most supermarkets near the regular granulated sugar. Superfine sugar is great for all kinds of drinks because it melts faster and more completely than granulated sugar which is especially important in cold drinks. If you can’t find or don’t want to buy superfine sugar, you can make your own. Pulse regular sugar in your food processor 6 to 8 times to get the proper grain.

You could also use simple syrup. In a sauce pan, combine equal amounts of granulated sugar and fresh cold water. Set over medium-low heat. When the sugar has melted, remove from the heat and set aside until cool. Stores indefinitely.

For added sweetness and sparkle, sugar the rims of your serving glasses. Here's how: pour some fresh squeezed lemon juice into a shallow bowl and some sugar onto a plate. Dip the rim of your glass into the lemon juice and then into the sugar.

Ingredients
3/4 cup fresh raspberries
9 cups cold water
2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 cups superfine sugar

Method
Puree the raspberries in a blender and strain through a fine sieve into a pitcher. Add the water, lemon juice and sugar and whisk together until the sugar dissolves. Serve over ice.
