Deep Fried Turkey Marinade
Deep – Fried Turkeys are great … preparing them can be quite dangerous. Be
careful out there!

Instead of injecting your bird, trying marinating it for great flavor before deep –
frying . Here’s one method :

Ingredients
1 [16 ounce] bottle Italian dressing [I like Paul Newman’s]
1/2 cup cayenne pepper
1/2 cup black pepper
1 cup Creole seasoning
2 tablespoons garlic powder, not garlic salt

Method
In a medium bowl, mix together 3/4 of the Italian dressing, cayenne pepper, black
pepper, Creole seasoning, and garlic powder. Rub all over turkey; use remaining
Italian dressing to fill cavity. Allow turkey to marinate [I use a big brand new bucket
that has been washed in hot soapy water] in the refrigerator 8 hours, or overnight,
before deep – frying.
